Social Changes, Inc. is a transatlantic company committed to transforming how progressives campaign and lead.
About Us: Change is Personal
Social Changes is a global collective of international and internationalist campaigners with deep roots in talent spotting, leadership development and training, storytelling, filmmaking, and design.
We believe that campaigns are only ever as strong as their candidates, and while a perfectly executed campaign can boost your vote share by about 4%, the right candidates can deliver more–on election day and beyond.
We support individual candidates, as well as parties and movements to find the right people to put on the ballot or carry important messages. We coach and train them, help them identify a narrative and communication style authentic to them, and work with them on content and messages that center real people’s day-to-day problems and hopes.
Our candidates—often young, female, or underrepresented—consistently over-perform vote expectations, and expand a party’s base, because they tell a story that resonates. We believe that focusing on identifying and training up the right candidates cycle after cycle creates a compounding effect that transforms parties and movements from the ground up.
Our Philosophy
Our role is both strategic and relational. We don't just provide services; we build trust, and we advise, coach, and resource with needs and best interests in mind. We are most effective when our collaborations are exploratory, responsive, and truly two-way.
Our trust-based approach extends to other consultants and vendors. When helpful, we recommend to our clients other professionals and providers that offer technical solutions beyond what we can–from CRMs, to crowdfunding and ad-targeting. We stay engaged to help ensure these are seamless and productive engagements.
A Double Bottom Line
As a benefit company, we’re a for-profit corporation with a double-bottom line. We pursue not just income but social impact. This means that when we find a person or cause worth fighting for, our first question doesn’t have to be about money.
We’ll happily fight like hell for someone nobody else thinks has a chance - we especially look for young people, women, and civil society activists whose leadership too often goes unrecognized and unsupported.
